InfoChem intends to cover both extraction of chemical named entities and computerized indexing of chemical structure images. For the recognition of chemical structures from graphical representations, InfoChem partners with the leading institute in this area, the Fraunhofer-Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI) in Sankt Augustin, Germany.
