Once the chemical terms are extracted from the documents, an accurate name-to-structure conversion tool is required to produce the final, the computer-readable structure representations such as MOLfiles or SMILES. InfoChem's software tool ICN2S is a sophisticated package that enables the automatic conversion of chemical named entities with utmost accuracy. Based on an huge dictionary, currently containing more than 27 million entries, the software guarantees correct and high performance generation of structures.

An additional highlight is the conversion of chemical names as they are actually used by chemists. Not only are IUPAC or CAS names processed but also abbreviated or semi-systematic and trivial names of common organic compounds.
The program is tolerant even of trivial or brand names that do not follow organic official nomenclature rules and recommendations.
